Excited! This is no brainer!

Japanese distributor Musin is actually showing the device at e-earphone June 26-27...

Ooh. I am in Japan and e-earphone is just across town…

… but that means riding the Corona express across town. Meh, nah.

Pity.
But if one searches for dx300 max after this weekend there will be impressions posts on twitter in Japanese (your phone should auto translate).

lol, now the FiiO M17 has more competition, this was a bit unexpected.

I just wish the DX300 MAX got rid of the sharp corners of the brick design and made it more smoother.

Corona express... it's probably fine unless you decide to hang out at those small close-contact cafe's and what not in Akiba

Stay safe and check it out for us! Your impressions means more yo us than phile-web (marketing....)

I also didnt mention my extreme love of sitting in the same place or near abouts for long periods of time - plus family time :)

i will check the twitter impressions from the session - i find they are largely accurate

EDIT: might not be auditioning in Tokyo this weekend?? Looks like Osaka and Nagoya?? - do home anyways…

Agreed, individual tweets are better.

Take care over there. Japan is going through tough times and it's a turning point now.

A moment with iBasso DAPs
- DX220 with AMP1 mk2: overall wide soundstage, quiet background, reference sound, pairs well with neutral to warm headphones and IEMs: Ananda, LZ A7, KBEAR Believe... Very detailed and textured, but treble is a bit grainy.

- DX300 with AMP11 mk1: deeper soundstage than DX220 - AMP1 mk2, but less wide. Slightly higher noise floor. Bass separation is worse than DX220. Added energy around 3kHz making the sound a bit shouty, in-your-face. Slightly less treble than DX220. Pairs well with neutral to cold HPs and IEMs, especially those with less than Harman 3kHz gain: LZ A6 mod, IE40 Pro, IE100 Pro, IE300, IE400 pro ... It is also better than DX220 in atmospheric songs focusing on vocals and few instruments, but worse in complex tracks.

- DX300 with AMP12: the widest soundstage of the three in all directions, more subbass than DX220 and DX300/AMP11mk1, with similar bass texture to DX220. The quietest background. Not shouty at all. Mid and treble are the smoothest, but very detailed, more detailed than DX300/AMP11mk1, and smoother than DX220.

For me, DX300/AMP12 > Fiio M15 >= DX220/AMP1mk2 > DX300 /AMP11mk1

Now if I can find a way to connect the 4.4 lineout to 3.5 on my KSE1200, I would buy AMP12 in a heartbeat. It's easy to custom an IC cable in my country, so if anyone here know about the cable layout it would be great!

The 4.4 is the standard wiring. For what you want to do, use just the R and l positive and then the ground, which is the sleeve, S.

Hi, I have a question. Where in Vietnam did you hear the Amp 12? Xuan Vu only got it today. Have ordered one. And SL Audio has nothing, not even the DX 300.

Yes Xuan Vu today, they called me and I was ready.
SL kinda has a condescending look on DX300, and often advises Fiio M15 or Shanling M8. With AMP11mk1, I understand their POV.
