That explains why it is easy for you lol!!! I don’t like these new DAPs that uses glues for the back at all...such a pain

I didn't at first but it is easy. Just buy some debonder and run it around the edge. It is like water and runs right between the glass and the case and softens the glue. Very easy. Then the heat on the back for the double side tape. I didn't glue the edges back, just used the double sided tape so to open it again, super easy. And it all fits flush.

Line out is Line out, but I wonder if it is a Pseudo Line out or true line out ?
My desktop miniAmp isn’t picky, and it takes many sources just fine. However, there are still differences when switch from PO to LO on Dx300.
I hear the Phone out drops in Volume, where as LO does not drop in volume, obviously...so it does switch from memory of connections
This is Balanced LO! Also if listening by LO, the 800s distorts, it is an indication that it doesn’t get enough power

I just prefer A02 more with C9. The 300 is great with my mini Amp as the Amp is dead neutral, a little bit musical and warmth is nice

You could use both a Max and a DX300, one for each ear, with 2 sets of IEMs, again one for each ear, and IEM match based on individual ear hearing and device output profile. You would just need to press play at the same time.

Well it benefits in that you won't get notification messages and interrupted by calls.

Sound quality.. I doubt it, unless the airpods max supports aptx or ldac.

Worth a test though, I think wf-1000xm3 sounds better on DX300 vs iPhone 12 pro; and it also only supports SBC and APTX.

Wow that’s a old question I posed haha! I was talking about running the APM wired out of the DX300 though… And I’ve verified that it does benefit somewhat running wired out of a proper DAC/AMP. Ah well… Already put my money in the Diablo, no more DX300 for me!

You could use the dx300 as a transport, to Diablo(dac), then balanced out to C9 (amp).
