That is a sticker that Japan issues to tested players that pass certain parameters. Many of the better daps have this. I thought most knew this but can understand why the significance might not be know. As a reviewer, now you know. :^)

Because as I understand it, you have to submit the product to the organization in Japan that either approves or doesn't approve the product. Sony uses the sticker as do many. I am very surprised many don't know this.

I thought they were just being sarcastic, so I was joking with them. The stickers have been in use for quite some time now.
