It's weird, but I never noticed this trend with DAP prices (pre-order or otherwise) before. Motherboards, CPU's and Video Cards is another story...
Cheers!

My DX160 sold within 5 minutes earlier this week too lol.
Just pre-ordered DX300 from Bloom Audio. Looking forward to comparing it to my R8 and seeing if they're complimentary (or hopefully, can replace it!). Also keen on future swappable AMPs, especially for ones that focus on a warmer, more intimate presentation for when I'm in that mood.
Im actually so happy that i bought dx300 straight after word came out that its available to buy at iBasso without second thought like an idiot lol. Plan was to actually wait for reviews and then decide.
The delivery time is going to be painfully long but at least i got to choose colour and know that its en route.
I feel like blue will be in higher demand considerably. It just works with that brass volume knob better.
After 9 hours of using IEMs listening as as a load, some DSD and mostly 16/44, I am down to 50% on the digital side of the battery and 60% on the amp battery. Most likely need to run the battery down to calibrate it but getting exception play time so far.

I am thinking maybe the battery needs calibration to see where it really ends up but will keep this playing. But I have to admit, even if it is 14 hours or so, which seems very likely, that is plenty long for me but if longer. . well, good! lol
Also when playing DSD, the player doesn't get very warm, just mildly warm and that is with the case on. And the back of the DX300 is sublime and with the entire screen in actual use, this is a spoiler for most anything else for viewing. And the color saturation is excellent and ultra fine detail (screen). Even with my desk magnifier I can't see the pixels! This is finer than my Apple Retina screen.
Its a hard one to write early impressions for i would guess.
screen, ui speed etc, menu, battery life, wifi..etc...is more concrete
Sound is limited to the initial stock amp module - which one would presume to be rather vanilla and generally accessible/pleasing to most users.(?).
And which will change in sound by future releases - so its a partial look at potential.
All early impressions welcome
Of course (i read them all).

I was really interested on the dap, but no body replied my question about the accessibility of android mode and mango mode with screen reader (Android voice assistant /Talkback)
