One of my favorite pairings. I have the exact same set up except for the cables. I use custom Audiophile Ninja cables. $110 for a 4ft cable terminated with 4.4mm balanced for my HD800S and a $35 interconnect.

Ah, don’t worry about the cables . They are all DIY lol! Sometimes I am asking myself, why do I keep staying on headfi…which hurts my wallet

I think you will be in great shape with just DX300 Max. I actually like stacking my DX300 + C9 because I can detach the DX300 and it's like a little wider iPhone XsMax, so it's very portable. Or, I can reattach it and get a better sound.

I was assuming that B&H photo would also have pre-order by now but it doesn't look that way so far in US.
What's curious is that I don't see any west coast dealer in US.
I wonder if the other countries/distributors waiting until end of month.
I believe the actual debut of the unit is at end of month (another week?)

What I need to know is whether I can or not able to afford it!!!

Pre ordered one of these from AMP3.

I can't wait for it. Nearly pulled the trigger on a few devices that are highly regarded but for some reason held off. It makes sense now. This is the one I was waiting for.
