Well I'm no reviewer so I'm not great at describing stuff. The sp1000 sounds more transparent and silky to me especially with iems that show loads of detail in music. The dx220 with amp8 runs it very close though at a fraction of the cost and is more transportable.

It needs to come to the market ASAP, because the market for this “semi-transportable” is going! You better be early or be left behind

And STORAGE. That may not be an issue when it's on one's desktop but if it's transportable one would not want to take their NAS with them. Can't be too hard to put 1tb on board and a couple slots can it?

Something this large should have a full size SD card slot, and 256-512GBgb onboard storage. Especiy if it going to cost $2,000.
