Do you think it will be such model? :) Ibasso, put better qualcom cpu and some upgrade to connection and give us dx160 SE - it would be enough.
We see that dx160 is forgotten, but still hope it get some update.
My money is on a DX180 ... let's wait and watch. I would love some fw upgrades in the meantime.

Well, iBasso announced DX240 in almost identical design. It's great that it looks better than DX300. =)
Oh, that's new for me. Thanks for sharing. Looks like ibasso is going good direction. DX300 wasn't my favorite also neither from design nor from size point. Dap also should be portable :) IMO.
DX160 was somewhere at the end of portability, still good, but DX300 is for size freaks. :) Will see what ibasso will bring next

I don't like the DX300 because of the design — he might sound pretty good, but it's definitely not my design path.

Well, and the dimensions, yes. :)

As far as I have heard, the ibasso dx160 has 100 volume levels, finely adjustable in 0.5 db steps. Does that actually also apply to bluetooth headphones?
Looks like that. With BT IEM connected, the volume wheel goes 1 step by step up to 100. Didn’t check if it actually reflect teo by step increase in ear as well

Ok, so these 100 volume steps also work with bluetooth headphones? But what did you mean by this sentence here: Didn’t check if it actually reflect teo by step increase in ear as well?
I didnt check listening to the BT phone if the volume increase/decrease is occurring step by step or not. on the UI is showing stwp by step also when on BT
