Neither have you pal to be fair. I've owned and modded many ibassos and enjoyed their sound and modding them very much but never enjoyed the performance. There is a reason they are promoting all the specs except the SOC. As far as I know they haven't even mentioned the SOC or answered any question about the SOC. They may yet hopefully prove us all wrong but if the TOTL DX220max gets the same SOC then...
Well I am not your pal, don't even know you but I am not going assume something until I see it. And don't care about the SoC I care about something that moves fast enough to get me to the music and then play it and do a good job while doing that.

Sound is obviously top priority but if its full android then speed is very important or there is no point using full android. Linux would be better or just focus on a mango only mode. If there is no mango mode on this maybe lurker can save the day.

Disappointing as I was looking for a mid level DAP for everyday carry. Guess I'll wait out the R5 roll out and see what Sony announces in early Sept. Oh well.
Mid level I hear ? Then just get a DX220.

Yep 425 is old as is Fiios exynos and both are destroyed by current phone socs but in turn the 425/exynos destroy the RK3368. I think I sold my DX220 before it had finished booting

It's also the reason I returned mine, just too laggy. User experience counts also, not just sound. Maybe they own shares in Rock Chip ha ha

Lol probably more likely- got them really cheap.
No we buy in large quantity as other manufactures do and get the same pricing.
