Can anyone confirm if they are able to use the usb-dac function on windows 11? I have the driver installed, and have tried several different usb ports with the supplied cable that came with the DX160. I know the computer connection is working because I can view files if needed for transferring but when I switch to usb-dac mode I get an error message after 5 seconds stating that the last usb device I connected has malfunctioned. Has anyone successfully used it as a DAC on windows 11 or is this broken?

@Paul - iBasso can you chime in on this?
The cable has been confirmed previously to not always be able to allow the USB DAC function to work. Try using a different, and shorter cable.

The cable with the DX160 is a USB 2 cable. We now use USB 3 cables. Many systems seem to work better now with the USB 3 cable.

Thank you for clarifying this. I have actually wondered about this since 2019 (though not too strongly, obviously hehe).

What cables are people using to get the spdif output working on their DX160?

Interesting I don't see an adapter included with mine and the website doesn't seem to mention anything like that in the package contents.

Oh, you are right, apologies. That was with the DX300. You will have to purchase an adapter separately. You might have to ask @ Paul - iBasso if something like this one will work for you. Or you can purchase one from them (probably the one from the DX300, which is also the one that I use).

Though looking at the one I use it matches the one I recommended; there are two different kinds, a mono 3.5mm plug, and stereo (TRS) 3.5mm plug. One of my old FiiO DAPs uses only the mono, while the other one uses only stereo (hence the reason I suggested you ask iBasso to be certain).

I have iBasso DX160 2020. I'm on latest official iBasso ROM + latest add-on from @Lurker0 + lastest Tidal app from Google Play store. Tidal HiFi plan.I cann't play any song in Tidal. Have to change streaming quality to High in main settings to back it working. I will try resetting all DAPs settings but maybe you have an idea how to repair playback to HiFi quality ?

EDIT : That wasn't @Lurker0 s addon fault. Just Tidal  dropped support (compatibility) in their latest apk with iBasso DX160/DX220 and maybe more devices.

Wait Tidal dropped support for iBasso DAPs on a device level? Where are you getting that information?

OK I don't understand why a 400 dollar dap can't connect to ldac high quality 990k and the best effort is 660k while the hiby r3 pro saber which is half the price can handle it like a champ... Every time I bump the dx160 to 990k audio quality it's so choppy and there isn't wifi on or other devices interference. I locked myself in a room... Me and the dap and it's so choppy

In my experience the BT is much worse than the wifi on the Dx160, therefore i practically stopped using the DX160 for BT duty.
