Well, I did have to beat the DX160 and AMP9 for a while to get them to match up but then got bored and went onto something else, like buying another DX160, since all I have now is a mess of metal, silicon chips, glass and plastic.
Is stupidity a rule here on head-fi???

Nevermind, figured that it does not support the amp modules.

Thanks.

I was kidding with you but you would be best to answer that question but again, lighten up.

Currently I use an Onkyo DP-X1 and the twin of it, the Pioneer XDP-100R. What would I gain switching to an DX160?
(I do not like with my DAPs that the battery does not last very long on both and that they only have micro USB connectors for charging. And I ran into sudden stops during playback and had to factory reset the devices. And WiFi connections are not very stable, but this is no big deal as I do not stream that much but have my music on the microSD cards - each has two of them!)

I went from the Xdp-100r to the DX160 and the sound quality for me is like night and day, the DX160 sounds amazing.

I had similar battery issues with the xdp-100r so it nice to have a DAP that lasts.

Moving to the single micro SD card wasn't really a problem as the larger capacity cards are so much cheaper then when I bought my Xdp-100r.

I haven't regretted the change at all.

Indeed. In the past reviews often wrote about card capacity that a given device would support only smaller cards. In many cases that was not true as the bigger cards that came later could be used too. My 512GB card even works in my first DAP a FiiO X1. (But as I am a data horder, even 512GB get full astonishingly easy!)

I actually prefer UAPP over Mango due to bit perfect mode.
But you had to install Google Play Store in order to buy UAPP. With Lurker?

I installed APKPure via Chrome.
But this only helps for normal apps, I think. For UAPP you have to pay to Google. And for this you need a genuin Play Store, I am afraid.

I used Apkpure through Chrome and got the Play Store along with other stuff.
The router thing being discussed also plays into it. I just got a Nighthawk R7000 and all the tech in these latest routers really does the job. Tried my T800s out of DX160s balanced output and found nirvana! Spectacular sound, tomorrow my S8Fs arrive, DX160s are incredible for the price.
