I would love to give you guys impressions but I will run it in first. All I can say at the moment is I like what I hear. More to follow.

There was a Chinese review I read a few days ago but don't have a link coz I forgot the site. The guy said that the r5 sounded somewhat weak and too light and that the dx160 was better sq-wise with more powerful and solid sound. He did also said that the dx160 crashed multiple times while using it though. Could be down to simple software fix but who knows.

Yeah, looks like it. I mainly remember that he complained the the r5 was weak and that the dx160 crashed quite a bit.

I have the DX160 here and have used most all the functions over and over and zero crash. Most likely an early firmware (seems fully mature to me). And the response is the fastest of any daps I have here. The sound, well, as a line our or headphone out, does a great job.
