IBasso Audio IT03

I've just got a DX200 and Shure SE846 I've just got a DX200 and Shure SE846 IEM's. Do you think it's worth getting some IT03's as well for a change of sound? I also have a FiiO X5iii and iFi Audio iDSD Black and they both work well with the SE846, so it won't go to waste.

FWIW, I know someone who has the 846 but wanted the IT03. The only problem for him was the fit.

I noticed in your profile that you own both the AudioQuest NightOwl Carbon and the Meze 99 Classics. That's a pretty similar situation as owning the 846's and the IT03. If you find yourself enjoying and using both headphones, get the IT03.

Personally, I own the 846's and I definitely plan on getting the IT03. I've never been anything but thrilled with an iBasso product and I switch the 'phones I'm listening to frequently.

Fellow it03 owner here, don't mind if I ask for your impressions of the it03 vs the se846.Im contemplating getting either the se846 or the campfire andromedas as an upgrade, and have heard the latter but not the former

Here's a brief summary/comparison I shared on the DX200 thread:

"I own an SE846 and have also got the DX200 and IT03 here.

For the price, it's [the IT03] definitely worth it and a great IEM.

It [the IT03] has got a bass emphasis that is quite comparable to the SE846 - if you want something with more warmth or less bass, then the IT03 would not do the job though.
Unlike the Shure that has got quite mellow, thick and "in-your-face" mids, the IT03's midrange is heading into a brighter direction. The 5 kHz dip is not as present on the IT03 as on the SE846. Treble extension past 10 kHz is better on the iBasso that has also got the somewhat larger soundstage."
