I have the ATH-AD700s and absolutely love them, so Audio Technica already has my buy in.
 
I find the DT770s too, I don't know.. bloated? [my setup is Music Fidelity V-DAC > Matrix M-Stage]
 
What would I think about the M50s?

Senn HD650 are my next purchase, but I do want something more fun for something to just chill with.
 
My thoughts on DT770 are that the bass is entirely too overpowering.  BIG TIME.

Maybe you could look into the Senn HD 25-1
 
they dont have bloated bass, more so tight~punchy bass and a forward~fun sound sig
