looking for a nice set around $200. here are a few i looked at:

Phiaton MS400
Audio Technica M50
Bose AE2

These will mostly be used for listening to music on my Droid., I have heard Studio monitor phones are the way to go for best sound.I dont want to have to use an amplifier either with them. any other suggestions?

You can't go wrong with ath m50.

I would agree, you really cant go wrong with the m50's. They are easy to drive without an amp and offer a natural detailed sound with good bass. They are very popular and for good reason.

are they on ear or over ear? i think i would rather have the on ear style. thanks guys
