its drivers are 56mm and the Yamaha HP-1 drivers are 55mm so it'll be easy as pie to fit them, installing the T50RP drivers will require more thinking, though.

I only found asian ones, and either the guys were saying "well, you need an amp for this thing so I can't review it" or they whined about the SQ but used very cheap shrill sounding USB DAC's...so this is all pointless.

having second thoughts, I've never been much of a fan of either the Beyer velours earpads or the headband of the DT770/600Ω Premium...OTOH, their Stax knock off seems to have a very comfy headband: http://www.seaben.com/takstar-ts671-hifi-fullopen-design-high-sound-quality-comfortable-headphones-headsets_p20004.html

The 671 has velours earpads and that's usually bad for deep bass response, I'll think I'll bite to the 670

Ordered mine... Shall also bring a short comparison with my DT880 (600ohm) when these get shipped from China.. Even if these sound like crap, for the price and the built, it is really hard to complain...

The hell no ! These do sound like a DT990 Premium headphone, the bass is way more emphasized then I might call neutral. 
 
I've made a small review on my fresh HI 2050, check it out.
