Thanks ZappaMan,

They look like a great option which removes the DIY risk.

What speakers are you using ?

We had a full house last night! Bunch of friends came over and brought a lot of kit to test out:

Omega Super Alnico Monitors
Voxativ 9.87's with 4D drivers
Voxativ Zeth's with 1.8 drivers
Voxativ Pi Bass Units
Voxativ Z Bass Units
Hugo mScaler
DAVE
WAVE Stream BNC cables
First Watt F1J amp
First Watt F2J amp
Massdrop THX AAA-789 desktop amp (aka, baby Benchmark amp)
Intel NUC's running Audio Linux in RAM for server and end points

Alas, my buddy hasn't gotten his TT2 yet, so we were limited to driving direct from the DAVE or driving through the amps. I'm very eager to hear how the TT2 sounds going direct, vs the DAVE

It’s often there so others can quickly see what audio chain is being used to give others reference. But hey, you’re free to make assumptions.

Relic's point is sound.

HiFi is not about individual components but how that combination of components works together as a whole.

That looks like really fun evening.

I do hope there is beer and wine involved which is essential!

I regret to report (at least for those that weren't able to join us) that a very nice 2011 Bordeaux won't be seeing 2020

A very good choice.

Enjoy!

Oh dear, the Dave appears to be under attack by several snakes ...

Ha! It does indeed. Lots of swapping back and forth between the WAVE Stream BNC cables, the stock BNC cables, and my DIY "cable of shame" monstrosity I put together last year when I first got my Blu2.

Later on when we were swapping between amps and speakers, the cable pit got 10x worse.
