Isn't that one mini xlr though?
Yes by default, but I'm sure you can ask them to use a regular size 4 PIN XLR instead.

Otherwise I would recommend the moon audio one if you're willing to pay a bit more.

If you're handy with a soldering iron, it's a very easy adapter to make. That's what I ended up doing.

Dear Sirs,
I currently have the HTT2 paired with Audeze LCDX, it sounds pretty good, I like it, however I am looking for an upgrade that delivers a sound with better bass.
the alternatives are:
  • Meze Emperyan
  • Focal Utopia
  • Abyss AB 1266 phi
  • Audeze LCD 4
  • Hifiman Susvara
  • Zmf Verite
  • Final Audio D8000 Pro
"Assuming" that the only one that would require an XLR connection (rear panel TT2) would be the SUSVARA?
Which of these would you recommend me?
Thank you

Susvara.

I had Empy's for close to 2 years. After getting the Susvara, I sold the Empy's. I still have ZMF VO and I am close to selling those. These are two hp I truly enjoyed UNTIL the Susvara arrived.
I did a demo of both the Utopia, that was IMO very good, and the Final D8000 Proi that was just OK to my ears.
I have now added the T+A, P and I will reach for it as it is very close to the Susvara in SQ but with deeper bass.

RCC HD Sound, I’m a huge fan of my Focal Utopia’s. They sound great right out of the single ended input of the TT2. It would not hurt to demo a pair.

The Susvara is the technically better and more all-rounder out of the headphones listed. Whilst the Empy's have a lovely bass, the clarity and separation isn't it's strong point. i.e. it's very good, but not quite up to the TOTL alternatives above. It is however a lovely listen and the tonality would pair well with the TT2.

I would for your purposes (if bass is what you're after) choose between Susvara and LCD-4. Or consider the LCD-4Z which would drive just fine out of the front headphone jack. Susvara is more comfortable and neutral but harder to drive well.

Utopia is still somewhat bright and benefits from the HF roll off filter on the TT2.

I'm always surprised to see the Empy mentioned to so much on TOTL headphone threads like the Susvara or Abyss. I really didn't get the impression that they offer similar levels of sound. Build quality and comfort are top notch on the Empyrean though and I could stare at them all day, but I couldn't listen to them for too long before desiring something more detailed with better bass quality.

My signature has all the details, my favorite headphones and my current chain. But to name a few, I prefer Ether 2, Susvara, and Abyss any day to the Empyrean.

I have ZMF Verite closed and I like it very much with TT2, Right amount of bass, not too much, just perfect.
