What is considered the most transparent mode on the TT2, low gain or high gain? I always thought it was low gain, but someone on another forum said it is the opposite, and high gain is more transparent. I know single ended is considered a better option than XLR, or do I have that wrong too?

My TT2 was delivered today. Coming from a solid mid-fi Topping A90/D90 stack, I knew the TT2 would be an improvement but I didn’t really know by how much. Wow! This was a substantial improvement in sound quality, especially around transparency and detail. I’m still going through my headphone and IEM collection with the TT2 but I’m very impressed so far!

Nice to hear! Enjoy your TT2. Just curious, are you testing Diana V2 directly from its Single ended, or XLR outputs? Or running through a separate power amp?

You probably want to stay away from the M-Scaler discussion thread; could get expensive...

Gadget67, you know that once anybody pairs an M Scaler with a TT2 or a DAVE, the hunt for audio satisfaction is essentially over. 😊

No, because after you buy the M Scaler some folks on that thread will try to persuade you that some cable built with actual garden hose and costing between one and two grand is necessary or your setup will sound like crap. :)

Must have me confused with some other gardening enthusiast... :) I decided that I couldn't go for those cables on principle.

Does this mean I should cancel my Abyss order?
Gadget67, not if you think that getting the AB 1266’s will make this album sound any better than it does already thru your present system.

Amazing - cables are usually made of copper or silver.
