The headphone mode is automatic on inserting headphones regardless of the previous mode dac or amp. If Rob reads this could you explain why in at least one case better results have been had by going from AMP mode to Headphone mode rather than Dac mode to Headphone mode? This surely can't be right?? cheers mk

The LCD-4 are 200 ohm, so take quite a lot of driving. This may explain to some extent why I was able (temporarily!) to hit a higher volume than you, but I’m not sure which ‘phones you were using and how easy to drive they are.
I understand that mate, different headphones but when you said nearly +22 on the volume I couldn't believe it

I'm wondering why you all are getting delayed when it comes to receiving your TT2's? It seems strange people in the UK (where the damn thing is manufactured) find it so hard to find stock, but I've had a TT2 here in Melbourne, on the other side of the planet for the past 2 weeks...??? Distro's here have them and the M-scaler in stock...
300 units are waiting new badges mate as they were faulty, the chord badge on the front, chord all ready to ship the units so was out of their hands really. It's the black ones it's affected

Well that label looks fine to me! So what have they done, gone to another label manufacturer, and they’ve got it wrong. Something doesn’t add up here.
Chord use another English company to make the labels, when they received them to put on the black Hugo's and some silver they were faulty so the other company had to make more for them hence the delay, the sales manager told me this at Hifi lounge

My mum hasn't been to good today I've been with her all day, but I'll keep the hugo on dac without music going through then I'll try plugging the headphones in, if it changes to amp mode that's great, saves me going into menu to change it, Fantastic idea by chord

I can not see anything wrong with the badge.

However, on another note, I am thinking the 3.5mm jack socket is too recessed to use with my AKG N40. I would struggle to pull the IEMs out from that I think. Not that I would forever be using N40 with the TT 2 if I bought one. I think I would have to use an adaptor and the 6mm socket.

Not complaining; just saying. I actually find the N40 difficult to remove from the Hugo 2 when I have the RCA cables in. There just isn't enough plug on the IEM to get hold of.

I don't understand the whole amp and DAC mode thing and headphone in or out. What's going on I'm worried as a potential buyer. It should make no difference as headphone mode is independent of other modes surely?
