Not a battery brick but I have used a power bank.

I tried a few when I had the MScaler and found the Krisdonia 50k mAh ones to be really good (at 12v). Last quite a while and quick to recharge. It worked well and certainly improved the sound... I guess that was due to removing the MScaler from the mains and stopping the noise it generates from flowing towards the DAC.
That Portable Power Bank is rated at 9v/12v 3A. The iFi Elite Mains Power Supply is 15v / 3.5A. But the TT2 & MScaler are rated at 4A. Is that a concern? So neither is suitable?

Neither was the power bank Rob used. You can easily power the MScaler at 9v... as also recommended by Rob. Just stay away from 15/16v otherwise you will/may damage the unit if it gives more than stated. I don't have a link to the post but at the time he did say all the power is called down... 5v is the end result on the MScaler after it scales it down. There wasn't much difference between 9 & 12v but I settled at 12v personally. I could have sworn he also mentioned the max amps it required.

The Power brick is the same one as the TT2 so I don't think you can go off purely what the max is on that. I'm sure if you dig around on the Scaler thread, you'll come across the posts.

NP... I know a few people using the Krisdonia... I use mine now to power a Pi4 with a Allo DigiOne for my small downstairs headphone point... runs for about a week if you power it down when not in use.

Just to point out... power banks do vary as they also have their own SMPS... some good, some bad. Don't always assume any power bank is better than the original power brick... Rob spent quite a bit of time apparently sourcing one that works well and, I believe is filtered. The main benefit of the power bank is it's disconnected from the mains and it is that that stops the noise generated by the MScaler from flowing to the DAC.

Anything that connects to the mains may not be any better than the original power supply... it's just a case of testing/trying and seeing what you like best.

When it comes to the use of aftermarket power supply units, other than the Chord supplied SMPS bricks, I would say it is your best alternative to consider those products that have been tried and tested by verifiable users. I have used Sbooster 15v LPS units in both my TT2 and my M Scaler that have shown marked improvements in both SQ and the reduction of RFI and EMI in my hp system.

Whoa! They've arrived! Just trying to choose an appropriate rack to house these with my Headphones and DAP's etc and I will set them up. Looking forward to a weekend of blissful listening 🎶

Who uses the marble volume control vs the wireless control? I'd never used the wireless before and now am liking that better?

I like the marble volume. Makes me feel like I am interacting with it. It is within arms length as well.

I can somehow confirm that.
After trying some of the mentioned ferrites I can assure you that they are not the same what Nick is using.
If somebody is interested I can sell my DIY ferrited cables (cost of materials + shipping).
My cables help a lot, but still are nowhere close to Waves.
Did you use Oyaide SLSB BNC plugs silver solder and Oyaide FTVS-510 75 Ohm cable for your DIY cables?

Nope I did not.
If your comparing the cables you need to start by using the same BNC'S and cable otherwise its pointless.

Nick himself in post #15,571 stated how much a change there is when using different cable and BNC connectors even though they have the same Ferrite cores on them.

Oyaide parts and your there.

Why do you avoid using TT2 controls and prefer the remote?
