1 deal is hugo 2 only, other deal is hugo mojo and poly.
I wouldnt miss Hugo 2, not because it isnt good, on the contrary, I only use it statically as is and my main concern is needing to return it to chord for a battery replacement. Why it doesn’t have a user replaceable battery is a weird one but there must of been a reason for it.
500 charge cycles is not alot. I know there is desktop mode, but in order for that to work and save the battery, hugo 2 has to be left turned on 24/7. When I say left on, I don’t just mean the charger left on, I mean Hugo turned on as if you were listening to music, lights on etc. If turned off with the remote, it starts charging from 80% to 100%, which is counted as 1 fifth of a charge cycle. Thats one reason why I didnt buy TT, battery problems at somepoint, now they use super caps.
So swapping hugo 2 for TT2 is all good, however I would miss mojo and poly, really would as I use it alot and I know if I did part with them, I would buy new ones a few months later, maybe get the gift set version, but, they are probably old ones with the cold boot bug, which as far as I am aware needs to be swapped over with upgraded ones.
To be honest, I was originally going to buy the original TT, I saw that H2 was out and got that instead. I should add, if H3 comes out with a user selectable desktop mode and if in desktop mode, it bypasses the batteries totally, and runs completely off the mains, I would grab that as I dont think the current desktop mode is implemented good at all.
Having to stick it on charge for 24 hours before it kicks in, not a great idea and then its followed by another not great idea, to get the best use of desktop mode, hugo 2 has to be physically on 24/7 365. < really not a great idea, also could be a fire hazard.
A couple of ideas for rob and john to possibly take on board for H3.
