Could you please explain the differences between Hemp and 325e ?

Well hemp is quite unique, even for entire current Grado's line up. The only "head to head" comparison is with 325X, and both of them still different enough too actually.I find it enough of a challenge to swap between hemp and 325e, let alone a completely different brand of headphone.
May be some explications could help to figure these differences.
Could anyone tell me which of the Grado line have the most forward mids please, preferably the over ear type please

This old thread need's revived.
I don't have enough experience with the different model Grados, but I would love to hear some modern comparisons for possible future purchase. I only own the RS-1 buttons that have new X drivers in them. I really enjoy their smooth sound and FR. The only other Grados I've heard are the 325x which have a very different presentation.
Please contribute your impressions of modern vs the past models for Head-Fiers like me to help make a decision on what the next Grado purchase will be.
Thanks for your impressions in advance. @jonathan c

Hopefully the Grado X owners chime in with some excellent impressions to speak of.

I just want them to :
- pop in,
- say hello,
- confirm that the RS2e is still great,
- leave

This will likely only lead you in the direction of spending more money. It's like a donkey chasing a carrot on a string tied to a stick. He never catches it. But at the end of the day, he enjoys a good meal, but still thinking about what that carrot would taste like.I just want them to :

You'll have to taste it for yourself to determine that. It just may be a medley of flavors, like a casserole dish. Only you can determine what taste great. Is the carrot hi res? Mqa? Balanced?

I think the @ruthieandjohn would need a bigger house to own anymore headphones, especially Grado. No sure which newer models he may have, if any?

So sorry, but I do not have any of the new models (the -x series). My wife put me on a budget (and a diet!). Lessee… I think she will still let me buy earmuffs… maybe they can be equipped with a cord and make sounds and have a GS-3000x label on them…

Great to hear from you, your post is legendary. Grado should be sending you free headphones!
Did you manage to keep your collection together? What pairs have stood the test of time?

Oh, yes indeed! My collection is together, and as suggested above, is hitting space limits (see picture).
Test of time? PS2000e, PS1000, GS2000e, GS1000e, GS1000i, RS1e, RS1, RS2e, GW100, SR325i, GH-2, and the list goes on (indeed, there are none that have really dropped off!@).
