Poly sinc gauss long for 1x and poly sinc gauss hi res lp for nx are the base filters recommended by the developer. Now whether you can do 1024 will depend on your compute. Using a lower such as 256 or 512 with an EC modulator will likely achieve “better” results.

EC modulator? As in DSD5EC, ASDM5EC-super, etc? Any specifically?Poly sinc gauss long for 1x and poly sinc gauss hi res lp for nx are the base filters recommended by the developer. I have an i7-13700k and a rtx4090.
I use ASDM7EC-super 512+fsEC modulator? As in DSD5EC, ASDM5EC-super, etc? Any specifically?

A great source for someone new to HQP is this review - https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/signalyst-hqplayer.26379/reviews
You want to make sure you go to advanced and check the CUDA offload box and the multi processor boxes. Check, not blank or greyed.I use ASDM7EC-super 512+fs

Your HQPlayer computer and your DAC can then appear at distant locations, even in different rooms. You can use one HQPlayer computer to play to different NAAs in different rooms (not at once). What is the benefit of using a Holo Red, rather than just streaming the music from a computer through USB to the Holo Spring 3?
Holo Red in NAA role can be used also to provide isolation from noise generated by HQPlayer computer. That's helpful for DACs which don't provide higher level of galvanic or EMI isolation on their USB input (maybe Spring 3 does not need that).

From the client I only see local host and no qobuz option.
You need to swipe to Album view. HQPlayer manual (installed with the application) chapter 8.1:

Then in Album view:

To run HQPlayer through a Holo Red, do you have to physically connect a separate computer that is running HQPlayer to the Holo Red? Or can it all be done wirelessly?Your HQPlayer computer and your DAC can then appear at distant locations, even in different rooms. Wirelessly as Red will be identified as NAA by HQPlayerTo run HQPlayer through a Holo Red, do you have to physically connect a separate computer that is running HQPlayer to the Holo Red? Or can it all be done wirelessly?
So you don't have to plug the Holo Red into anything other than your DAC? HQPlayer and your music streaming all connect to Holo Red wirelessly? Does Holo Red put out a wifi hotspot to do that?Wirelessly as Red will be identified as NAA by HQPlayer
Red will be connected to your network via LAN Ethernet. Your laptop will be on same network and hence will see Red as appropriate endpoint based in playback software you use. If you use Roon then it will see Red as Roon ready endpoint, HQPlayer will see it as NAA or software like Audirvāna will see it as UPnP endpoint. So you don't have to plug the Holo Red into anything other than your DAC? So you have to connect the Holo Red to your router via an ethernet cable, but the computer that is streaming music from Roon or HQPlayer to the Holo Red can do that wirelessly, without ethernet?Red will be connected to your network via LAN Ethernet. Yes, that’s correctSo you have to connect the Holo Red to your router via an ethernet cable, but the computer that is streaming music from Roon or HQPlayer to the Holo Red can do that wirelessly, without ethernet?
Does the Holo Red do any processing for HQPlayer? Or does 100% of the HQPlayer processing happen on the computer you are using to stream to the Holo Red?Yes, that’s correct
All processing of HqPlayer will be done in your desktop or laptop.Does the Holo Red do any processing for HQPlayer? Or does 100% of the HQPlayer processing happen on the computer you are using to stream to the Holo Red?
Apart from streamer, I guess, Red can also act as DDC i.e you can connect laptop to Red via USB cable as well. So you can use Red as streamer via LAN or can use as DDC connected to laptop via USB.
Do you think Holo Red is worth it if you have a Holo May or Holo Spring 3 that has galvanic isolation and so no need for a DDC?All processing of HqPlayer will be done in your desktop or laptop.
