How much money have you spent on headphones in total?

HD590 (b/c I brought it in Korea), HD595, K701, DT880, Triport, KSC 75, Shure E2G....

300 + 200 + 400 + 300 + 150 + 24 + 100 = 1474$

.....

Wmcmanus, where in the world do you find space to put all that gear?

Well looking at his sig he probably owns a mansion somewhere in the Cayman Islands...

I bought a Sony Walkman WM-DD2 back in the days when Sony was good with the phones it came with, does that count?

Sennheiser HD-437: 248 sek
Alessandro MS-1: 723.45 sek + eventually vat/custom
---
971,45 sek ($130.65)

If I hadn't retired and THEN received four children to raise, I'd hate to think of how much I would have spent thus far.

....no; I'd LIKE to think of how much I would have spent!!

$100 for MS-1s with $500 to follow after the first of the year for RS-2s.

I spent 275 € ($355) on several portable headphones. That's way too much, because I don't use most of them anymore after I found out that they pale in comparison to the PX 100 in terms of sound quality and wearing comfort.

$200 on a pair of 5 pros. Returned them for a full refund and bought a pair of E4Cs.

$60 on a pair of SR-60s.

$212 on a pair of ER-4Ss.

Sony EX71SL (SOLD)
Alessandro MS-1 with flats (SOLD)
Koss portaPro
UE super.fi 5 Pro (SOLD)
Grado HF-1 (SOLD)
AKG K 701 (SOLD)
AKG K 1000 (SOLD)
Grado RS-2 (SOLD)
Go-Vibe V3 (SOLD)
Millet Hybrid (SOLD)
E-Mu 0404
Zhaolu DAC
Singlepower MPX3 SLAM
extra tubes (120€)
cables (100€)

upcoming purchases:
Audio-Technica W5000
G&W TW-03E Power filter

Total cost of the above: approx. 4150€ (some of the above I've purchased used.)
Received for sold items: approx. 2300€

So my net spending at this point (E-Mu -> Zhaolu -> MPX3 -> W5000) would be close to 1850€, which is not much more than the actual resell value of my rig.
This is after approximately 18 months of Head-Fi, so it's not really that much. 100€ net spending per month. I'm very satisfied with my current setup... And it's been an awesome trip! Countless hours surfing the site, receiving packages from parts of the world I didn't even know existed, making new friends, trying out lots of cool gear, hearing music better than ever before...

An awesome hobby! Thanks Head-Fi!
