I really thinking about get a custom HISENIOR shell.

But some news talks about a BA+EST new set coming out...

Anyways a MEGA EST could be a sidegrade of my lovely VARIATIONS...

There goes my T4 in the fourth picture! Gareth at Hisenior was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish and clearly takes great pride in the products he sells. The T4 is a really 'safe' 4BA choice if you want a set for vocal/instrumental. It's very midcentric due to the midrange lift (low midrange included) and the pinna is very tastefully tuned to control for shout. The tuning isn't extreme enough for electronic/pop being quite flat at both ends, lacking the subbass and midbass shelf that most sets have these days. Nonetheless, there was definitely a gap in this price range for a mid-centric, balanced tuning like this and it satisfies my desire for a sumptuous, refined, sound that doesn't offend. You can just put them on a be whisked away by gentle sounds. The 1-0 switch is good for poorly recorded tracks and 0-0 for most of my library, 0-1 is good for a little extra lower treble and air for female vocals. Very happy to have my own custom set.

I'm also looking forward to seeing what direction they take the 10BA + 4EST.

What a thing of beauty..!!

Came back to me finally after I lent it to my other fellow audiophiles in India. I was initially blown away. For the design, I like this older faceplate more than the anniversary edition. Hisenior Mega5EST. I just completed the photoshoot and will share it with the review to you soon. Unbelievably good-looking.

OH700VB is a great hybrid, awesome separated bass. Mids a litle darker on some music, maybe due to me being used more mids or the bass tuck. Highs is the main downside on OH700VB, can get piercing and shrill on certain music.

Love the OH700VB, getting use every week.
Do I like it more than Mega5EST? No. But that goes back to my taste in tuning, some can probably feel the opposite.
I still think that Mega5EST is more technical and clean sounding, with a more natural low mids and bass range.

I was unsure if I wanted to keep both or let OH700VB go, decided to let both stay as they are different enough.

These are the gen stuff. I picked up T2, T4, Okavango, Mega5EST and Mega5 Ultra. The only thing I didn't pick was Fe8. Now they're coming with a summit-fi IEM. Let's see how things come to reveal.

OH700VB has been on my wishlist for quite a long and mostly I had positive feedback from my friends

Is that the revised/ updated Mega5EST?

I have the anniversary edition. I know if you choose the OG faceplate version now, you still get the same updated (version 2) iem.

Yes this is updated version of Mega5EST but I picked it up just before they launched 7th Anniversary Edition

This is awesome praise for Hisenior, Mega5EST is one of my favorites. Especially for the price.

Headphones.com going to sell them also now.

No stores in the EU have the Mega5EST, correct?

I don’t think so unfortunately.

I ordered mine from Penon. Delivered to the UK in four days and cost me £400 total.

After seeing the sparkling review from DMS, a reviewer who happens to share the same tastes as me when it comes to equipment. I've been meaning to get the Mega5EST, specially after the comment he said that he had the same feeling from the HE-1, which is also a feeling I've been chasing for a while after hearing the HE-1 my self a couple of years back.

Context aside, I've been watching the reviews from other people; which there aren't that many to being with, and their reviews aren't that generous. I don't know if those reviewers are just being petty. So I wonder, is it hype? Or this IEM is an equipment that truly lives up to its reputation?

I'm currently using the Letshuoer S12 which replaced my 8 year old Campfire Vega. Alas, I'm been finding my self missing the extra bass the Vega had, but I am loving too much the clarity and detail the S12 brought to the table, along with the tonality. Comparing the S12 with the Mega5EST, is it fair to expect a bit more bass and more definition compared with the S12? Is the Mega5EST tonality similar/completely different to the S12?

I can't really test the Mega5EST, so I would like more info before I commit.

The Mega5est is a really good iem imo but it’s subjective ofc.

Is it the best iem I’ve ever heard? No. But it’s maybe the best I’ve heard south of $1k and definitely the best I’ve heard in its price range - but again the caveat is due to it suiting my preferences and works well with my tuning tastes and what I’m looking for.

It doesn’t appear to be (from the graphs) anything like the S12 at all:

The s12 looks almost like the polar opposite of the Mega5est, although. I haven’t head the S12 to confirm.

@Leonarfd should be able to help, he has the Mega5EST and I believe he’s heard the S12
