Compared to my (hybrid tube amp)x can v8(without psu),grace m902 was more detailed with better clarity, better dynamics and better mid bass/bass definition.

I had the pleasure to test it with a DT770, and can confirm positive feedback too.
Any way my flag goes to a balanced SS driver I discovered a year ago or so:
QES Labs Hpba-2.
A friend of mine running a recording studio owns one, and tested it with the usual 770.
The most natural response w/770.

β22 is fine, if you have the right guy to build it.

Would it be the price if I asked someone to build it for me ?

If you have it built, price varies wildly based on parts - two boxes or one, attenuator or pot, fancy case or standard, boutique parts (waste of money) or stock, profit margin of your builder.

Price varies between under $1000 for a bare bones DIY to above $2000 for a higher end build.

The Headroom BUDA (balanced ultra desktop amp) is a really top notch SS amp, especially when paired with their new UltraDAC.

I agree with that!

Because this thread is about SS amps.

Fitz modded BADA12 should easily be included as well..

I don't think this can really be classified as a SS amp either...

I had an Opera and the GS-1 outperforms it easily. The balanced Beta22 and GS-X are in the same league so I'd extrapolate that a Beta22 would trump a Symphony.
