Got my Bakoon hda 5210 mk3 last night, cracked it open today.
Headphones used hd800, fostex th900 and PS1000.

In one word, what the "hell" am I hearing. The PS1000 sounds so extremely detailed.
The Fostex bass has slam to Die for, clearly this amp is way under rated.

Pre 7610 vs hda 5210? Witch is better sound for headphones like audeze? Both mk3 with UL boards and WR upgrade......fully loaded with ul and wr the 5210 is like 3200 and 7610 is 3800 dollars, but 5210 is supposed to be headphone amp,how could some pre amp version sound better than so something they made for headphone? Whats the difference between the two?

I asked that amazon Bakoon japan seller witch is better for headphone the 7610 pre or 5210 he said the pre doesnt even have current mode witch is whole point and reason for high SQ... two of you here said the pre is better, did you even try the current mode in 5210? Do you normaly prefer less resolution distorted warm sound? I am confused becose the pre witch you prefered is voltage only yet most people say its current mode where its at yet the supposed superior 7610 doesnt even have current mode

   + 1  It's immediately obvious with my TH900

theres not point in using Bakoon with
There is no point using the voltage output. Its not detailed and lacks dynamics.

theres no point in using bakoon with dynamics like Fostex,do you know how high impedance the current output have and what it does to dynamics with their curved impedance? bakoon is only for planars

Have you read the reviews of 5210? The auditor has stated that the Bakoon amp is 1 of the best amp to drive TH900. And some has agreeded this. Not sure wether you even tried the Bakoon before you conclude this nonsenses.

its not nonsense I dont need to try it since this is simple science, current output is big no no for dynamic drivers due to their impedance curve, yes the sound quality is best becose bakoon is lowest distortion amp, problem is the massive bass boost due to impedance curve,it doesnt happen to planars becose their impedance curve is flat.... if you are basshead I can see it being fun but it is just silly overboosted midbass, nothing more, its not warm its just ridiculous,no headphone is perfectly flat but this is in grotesque category

you use current or violtage output?

So it depends:  Voltage sounds more solid state like with succinct treble qualities and I prefer this for my Qualia 010;  current output drives my Fostex more tube like which is rather nice ...
