It's a 1 year old unit, so burnin is done for a long time
My unit was open box (from Headamp) so may have already been burned in somewhat- but never had any of that crinkling/crackling. Best wishes for your RMA process.

Not all 300B tube amp sound the same. So far "the best" amp to drive Susvara from my perspective is Ultrasonic Telemachus with Tube Rectifier mode (even more than Riviera). WA5 (KR Tubes) and Cayin HA300-II actually still ok for me. Most of my songs usually consist Vocal, Jazz, New Ages and Pop.

Hear hear. The lucky few who got their Telemachus.

I seem to have read in this topic that the Susvara now comes with an updated cable, is this true?

Different sheathing but the same conductors. The cables do feel sturdier and less tangly compared to these previous ones:

If anyone has the new cables and is planning to upgrade to better ones I would buy the stock ones from you. Pm me if you do thanks

Just curious why you’d want to do that?

Good question. I'm actually ok with the sound of the stock cables but dont like their feel. So if someone plans to upgrade to another cable and wants to make a bit of $$ by selling the new versions to me, we'd both get what we want...

Stock cables actually sound well and quite resolving and IMHO changing to a more exotic ones can make sins of omission and commission in Susvara’s tonal balance and technicalities.

I kinda want to try the new stock cable (I think it's just like the old one, but with better aesthetics). Funny you can't buy it on the Hifiman site, or at least I couldn't find it. Their site sucks

For a sec I thought ''Finally! I can offload these catheter style cables''. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: The new sleeved one's definitely look way better.

I bought a susvara new recently and got a black stock cable. Looks better than the traditional cables I've seen with it.

It's the same cables that came with Audivina on the loan tour. It's better than the original but still too thin and rubbery for my liking. ymmv.

tdx should be served first, but I would like to get the original cables then if anyone is willing to sell them (for my first version of Susvara with 2.5mm connectors). Thx! I accidentally destroyed one of them :frowning2:

I do not wish to buy anything else to change the tonality. I am happy with the original cables and never tried anything else with Susvara.
