Thanks for the info. Did you try the ZMF Eikon pads without the dust filter? I felt the mids were more pronounced with the Eikon than stock pads. Treble was a lot darker in my opinion. Soundstage was more condensed but overal it rocked out more. Stock Harman pads come out more delicate and 3D.
I was comparing to dekoni fenestrated and hybrid dekoni, where for example male vocals have a fuller sound with more rich reverberation, while with zmf they more focused and thinner

Nice review from @Currawong

I would jump on a Luxman if I wasn’t so happy with my Accuphase

Owned this amp about 6 months. It’s an outstanding amp with everything including the Susvara’s and TC’s. It was actually my favorite amp for them. I only sold because it wasn’t the most transparent amp for my Dave when I got later in the year.

iPower Elite factors in of course, but the first Pro iCAN with it would still be a bit behind Pro iCAN Signature.
I'm happy with my Pro iCan but spending 2K upgrade to Signature.....?

The difference between Pro iCAN and its Signature version is noticeable but not huge and iPower Elite makes that gap even smaller. So if you're happy with Pro iCAN, upgrading its power supply is the way to go and squeeze extra performance out of this amp. Pro iCAN Signature is appealing primarily for folks who don't have the original.

Which one is suitable for iCan Pro..5V / 12V / 24V ?

What did you end up getting to pair with the Dave?

I have ordered the Auteur hybrid solid pads yesterday to try with my HE-6s but would mount them on Susvara for sure too. I suspect you would get a bit less dense bass, a bit less full mids and a bit more bite-y treble, along with more room to soundstaging. Might be too bright on Susvara without dust covers but let's see.

Auteur perf hybrids would basically match the above description but with even stronger delta compared to Eikon Hybrids. Hard to say if bass would still be solid enough to your liking, as the perforations would make it significantly harder for the drivers to really pressurize the room inside pads. For HE-6, perforations wouldnt be an issue. For Susvara, not so sure since as you can see, even the stock pads only perforated on the inside are not quite enough for Susvara to hit like HE-6.

Btw, have tried the Universe Suede Perforated pads again recently and those would definitely give a more airy easygoing character and timbre kind of in between stock Harmony pads and ZMF Eikon Hybrids. It's just not what I am looking for myself, as it's no longer hardhitting in bass and not as rich tonally and timbrally as cans like HE-6 or LCD-4.

To your previous question, dust covers actually do not affect frequency response much. If they do, its typically above 10 kHz where its difficult to measure consistently. In other words, the perceived effect of removing dust covers is significantly bigger than what you see in FR measurements.
Ok ordered some Auteur Perf Hybrids ... looking for a comfy pad that is more open as well. Eikon for a LCD5 type of effect and we shall see how the Auteur Perf Hybrids sound :)

Just checking Anni from Chord and it is excellent small beast, really clean and powerful with Susvara and Abyss, very good separation and big sound stage.
That's the cutest amp for Sus I've seen
Running out of Speaker TAPs?

I also started down the Eikon and HM pad rabbit hole. In light of several less than positive posts I don't want to continue pad rolling. I already do that with tubes!
I may just leave them in the sealed box from ZMF and put them up on the classifieds. I wasn't a fan of the Dekoni due to how thin they were compared to the OEM on my Sus.

I am going to try EQ (just got the Loki Max today) or just stay with the stock HM pads. If the goal was to make the Sus more like the TC or LCD-5, great, but I now have 5 and these are both keepers along with the P.
