I love the susvara but dont kid yourself the TC is special
Depart with the delusion of perfection. Every headphone presents a concession or sins of commission.Haven’t heard the 1266 TC but heard it has issues with the presentation of the mids.
They sound so different, don't you think some people might just prefer the Susvara to the TC without 'kidding themselves'?I love the susvara but dont kid yourself the TC is special
I enjoy both. I dunno which one I prefer, but there are weeks where one has more ear time than the other. Right now it’s the Sus.They sound so different, don't you think some people might just prefer the Susvara to the TC without 'kidding themselves'?
I enjoy each of them for very different reasons. When I spend more than two weeks listening to one, I contemplate selling the other. I tell myself to try the second pair one more time before I post a classified listing. Then fall in love with the second pair all over again and the process repeats. The Susvaras make me appreciate the TCs and vice versa.They sound so different, don't you think some people might just prefer the Susvara to the TC without 'kidding themselves'?

thats wild because I do exactly the same thing...cant tell you how many times I have thought I could live with one or the other only to change my mind upon listening to the other againI enjoy each of them for very different reasons. WHEN DRIVEN WELL the susvaras have fantastic mids and a very detailed and full bottom end (as well as everything else).

Sometimes in this thread it needs to be said again - at least that’s how i feel.Yes, when driven well the're very even all across the board and that's their main appeal. Also, don't bash me folks if I've said it already
TL;DR
WDW = when driven well

I'm really curious about your Susvara experience and comparison with HEkSE.Thanx bro !
Does WDW include clean power? Because I’m finding a Susvara driven by a chain with very very clean power to be amazing. Difference with clean power is so noticeable, I feel the differences in opinion on amp pairings might be due to the confounding factor of power hygiene and power paraphernalia’s ability to aid in instantaneous current delivery.Sometimes in this thread it needs to be said again - at least that’s how i feel.
Maybe “when driven well” should be reduced to ”WDW” for this thread. At least for us with the same view
However, YMMV,

Hi vsg28, How's it going with the Hifiman EF1000 demo unit ?Then I need to thank you (and FedEx) for making this happen. I still think someone didn't realize how front-heavy the power supply unit is and just dropped it on the floor, since the hard case and foam add plenty of protection and seem perfect inside and out. Anyway just for this weekend I decided to take off my reviewer hat and just enjoy the Susvara for the first time ever, and that happened to be with the EF1000 too. I may have shed a tear or two listening to some of my favorite songs. Here's what I mentioned on the Reddit post too:
Tomorrow onward it gets more critical, especially with the LCD-5 arriving on Tuesday and some Dekoni pads on Wednesday. But before all that is written up I have plenty of other reviews to do, including the HE400se and the HE1000se.
