PS : I still use stock HFM cables with the lower tier models, such as the He-400i, the Sundara, and the He-5XX, but that is just because I generally find their performance to be adequate and decent "as is," for the type of listening I use them for, without feeling obliged to chase the last 1% in SQ in their cases, as I normally do for the Higher tier models.
Yes, there are various speaker switch boxes available. Bryston used to make a high quality one. Not sure if they still do, but you might find it used. Otherwise, there are definitely others in current production.
EDIT: Just did a google search. Here's the Bryston I mentioned:
I had a friend help order it from the Rakuten website (she is Japanese). They have lots of nice stuff there. Shipping may cost a fair bit though.. Google Translate will come in handy.
Wondering how hot the BENCHMARK AHB2 gets? Can I stack the Hugo TT2 on top of it? Maybe get some rubber risers? Wondering if this will work? Want to have both on my desk? But don't have space for a rack ...

I presume the heatsinks get warmer than the top of the amp in any case. Benchmark support has always been very responsive so one could easily enquire via email.
If you're considering the AHB2, then presumably you're looking for clarity and neutrality. If so, you're not likely to find many amps that will do a better job of delivering that. Since Benchmark offers a no-risk 30-day home trial, maybe you should just purchase the amp and see how it works for you. Using that as a baseline, we can potentially give you other suggestions if it turns out the AHB2 is not what you're looking for.
