This is disappointing... I'm am not even going to bother trying these and return them asap to Dekoni.

I ordered 3 (all except the velour), they all do not feel premium at all, very scruffy build quality, zero angle (the original is considerably thicker in the back) and way more shallow than the OG pads. My (giant elephant) ears will never fit.

They look ultra thin!

It is even worse.... this is the fit with the right alignment.

Kinda baffling how these pads seem so off...

Those stock pads look huge though... Maybe I should be looking at the new stock pads... It looks like they're coming with a thicker version nowadays?

Yea.. Your stock pads look so thick!

The Dekoni are 23mm max without any compression: my Susvara OEM pad (2021 build) is 26mm at the back. My right ear lobe very lightly already touches the grill/mesh with the OEM pads.

That's what she said :) I can imagine the close up photo with an typically wide angle mobile came makes things worse.

I measure the FSS at 2 cm to the seam, and ~25 mm to the edge of the pad. Both at the back.

EDIT: pictures of what stock vs FSS looks like for me. Back:

My 2021 build Susvara stock pads are approx. 25mm at the back and 18mm at the front.

They are plush and nice and comfortable, my ears don't touch the inside of the headphone and my Susvara's sound great through my current rig.

Therefore no reason or need to change my stock pads at all !

So the difference in the picture is 'only' 3 mm? Looks a lot bigger.

That looks way more reasonable to me.

This is the right pad at the back: 23 max. The tool is set at 25mm, clearly an 2mm minimum gap. But these pads being rounded at the side that touches your skin, it would easily compress more.

I would say Dekoni are laughing all the way to the bank !

The variance in stock pad thickness is quite shocking

Some people's stock pads are really thick compared to mine. Also, try on the Dekoni, even if they appear thinner. If they're firmer than the stock, they might compress less and actually provide more room.

thanks for the dekoni earpad photos and discussion.

I have happily cancelled my order :)

At first glance I thought your stock pads are very thick and yet when I took a picture of mine, they look about the same. Mine is also 2021 production batch.
