I tend to take a lot of comments here with a grain of salt is that some many reassessments happen over time

Yes, folks tend to change their minds in time once initial purchase craze fades. But hey, we're just humans, it's natural. As a fellow hobbyist I'm just as guilty as everyone else :)

So I recently picked up a pair of Susvaras. I'm now in need of source gear. I realize these MSRP $6000 (although I picked them up used) and that I should match it with something worthy of it. But I'm looking to "minmax" while I build up funds again to splurge on a chain good enough to bring out the full potential of these cans. With that being said, could anyone recommend me amps and dacs within the 1000-1500 range (per unit) so $2000 - $3000 total budget that would get me started?

OK, so you want a DAC and amp as separates?

Yes, that is correct. I would like 2 separate units.

As a sponsor I shouldn't mention our products in this context, so I won't :D

But as far as amps go, if you'll take a look at last 40 pages or so of this thread, there's a lot of talk about Susvaras driven from regular speaker amps' binding posts. I'd take a look into that.

No, I love y'alls products. I've owned multiple Black Labels as well as an iCAN at one point lol

You´re rather good guys so I´ll mention your products for you :relaxed:, the iFI Pro iCan on paper should have plenty of power.
Another alternative would be an SPL Phonitor X (https://www.cnet.com/news/the-prefe...les-who-love-headphones-and-speakers-equally/) paired with a Topping E30 Dac or the D90 if you want to spend more.

Used Yiggy for a DAC. Clear as a bell and quite a deal used.

If a headphone amp something like a Violectric V281 (used). If a regular speaker amp - used Class A (Pass X-150 - needs pre-amp) or a killer int amp - Sudgen A21 (used).
