HiFiMan Susvara

@DJJEZ
No worries. Thats also an opinion from your ears and perception.

My tweak journey on TT2 was surprising of what I could gain from just upgrading and power pairing.

Furutech Flux-50 NCF into iFi Powerstation. Adding just a iFi Elite PSU boosted the volume output in such a way I did not feel turning up the volume as much as I did before. Some people will argument here and say thats because of noise or the other…

The fact is I turned down the volume and had more headroom/power output….enough for Susvara? From memory I would say it was ok and I could have lived with that if I liked the TT2. At that time I had too much money on the source and R2R chain and needed more focus on it.

Not that I defend the thought of running Susvara from an iPhone, but I am just ok with people saying that “even a potato can run Susvara”. Soo unbothered🤣😱

According to specs the MSB HEADAMP should not be able to drive Susvara. But it rips apart the Enleum. To my ears it is atleast as justifice regarding taking Susvara to the 100%

Even someone prefers the transparency and dynamics of an Esoteric n-05xd hp out (320mw) vs a huge >16w amp with a susvara.

Resolution only on its own gets boring real quick I tell ya. Has to be every aspect of sound elevated to uncharted heights

I agree. I spent 3 months last summer, driving susvaras with the a90. I couldnt stop thinking in my gt i had in the city. A90 is like listening to hp, and the gt is like being there, with susvaras.

Random: Interconnect pairing might be a better match than buying a new headphone cable.

I tried two COAX cables one costs 20x more than the other around 35 dollars. What they do to the outcome is superior in their own way and makes a match for the paired DACs.

Noticed the same for i2s connections versus some headphone cable swapping for Susvara. A lot of minor synergistic tweaking capabilities with ICs and even PCs.

Audeze LCD-4 driver and pad (and nothing else!) replacements = $1200. Susvara full replacement = $300.

I think that's fantastic... as long as I don't start questioning why the replacement cost is so reasonable lol

I kind of like it, you're paying 3.7k to Hifiman in R&D costs and 300 for the headphone, with the added bonus that the 3.7k is like a one time fee enabling lifetime replacement purchases. Much better than Focal charging 2k for new Utopia drivers..
