HiFiMan Susvara

Hello from a new Susvara owner, happily listening to Faith No More on an island off the West coast of Scotland.

I’m thinking of powering my headphones from my speaker amps (2 x Naim Audio NAP 135 mono amps) and was wondering if anyone here has tried Naim speaker amps with this combo using the HiFiMan HE-Adapter?

Or any advice on the HE-adapter?

I’ll be using a Naim preamp with a Linn turntable front end mostly.

I remember people here don't like the HE-adapter as it causes a drop in SQ. Wait for others to comment.

What's in a Naim?
Solid state amps by any other would still sound as sweet...

(Sorry, couldn't resist... and no, I've not heard them, but imagine they'll work well.)

I think it will sound very good. If you ever want to get the very last bit of good sound, you can later replace the HE-Adapter.

I'd actually recommend he start off (carefully) without the adapter to make sure he likes the arrangement. The adapter can always be added for "peace of mind", or to adjust the volume range on preamp or DAC. I've never used an adapter, but a quality one should impart virtually no sonic inpact.

Any recommendations for good carrying case for the Susvara?

Will bringing them with me probably to Chicago CanJam, and looking for a portable case that can fit it.

Thanks for any advice..

Search the gallery, there was a user who bought a case that had removable foam cutouts. That looked like a pretty good option.

This Pelican Storm M2100 case cost 2 X the Seahorse SE430. I found it to be a bit better made than the Seahorse.....but not 2 X $ as good as the Seahorse.

Looks solid like a flight case.
