Headphoneus Supremus
I tried all the dekoni ones and preferred the FSS ones over them all.Did you get the Dekoni Susvara pads, or HE pads?

in my experience, the soundstage you get with the susvara is massively dependent on your electronics and really, everything upstream, including cables. have you experimented? you can get a huge soundstage with the stock pads. Thanks, but briefly, can someone recommend a pad that will expand the soundstage on Susvaras?
whatever dude. good luck.I won't buy a new pair of cables just to experiment all I know is that if I pull the speakers slightly away from my ears I love what I'm hearing hence the conclusion that slightly thicker pads may help. yes, I can experiment with...pads
If you pull the pads away from your ears, you're creating an air gap (à la the Abyss 1266 TC), which isn't going to happen if you simply substitute pads. FWIW, I also settled on the Dekoni FSS for the Susvara, but neither the tonality nor the soundstage is radically different than with the stock pads. For me, probably the biggest improvement to soundstage with the Susvara was driving it with a proper speaker amp. Ok but they were specifically the dekoni susvrara pads, right?I tried all the dekoni ones and preferred the FSS ones over them all.
It might be worth it to try the HEKSE port mod on the susvara, I have heard some people have had good outcomes with that.If you pull the pads away from your ears, you're creating an air gap (à la the Abyss 1266 TC), which isn't going to happen if you simply substitute pads. And you wouldn't be wrong. However, good amps do smooth and define the mids / vocals, and give the susvara a better sense of stage and separation. Also, there are software / hardware solutions that add in crossfade / stereo mixing. Most of the time detail is lost in the process, but it does make certain tracks sound more open and enjoyable. It works on a track by track basis IMO.I won't buy a new pair of cables just to experiment all I know is that if I pull the speakers slightly away from my ears I love what I'm hearing hence the conclusion that slightly thicker pads may help. yes, I can experiment with...pads
Or a high output current with low impedence headphone amplifier !If you pull the pads away from your ears, you're creating an air gap (à la the Abyss 1266 TC), which isn't going to happen if you simply substitute pads. Did you have a particular model in mind?Or a high output current with low impedence headphone amplifier !
Mmmm....let me guess ???? lolDid you have a particular model in mind?
I'm currently listening on the Bricasti M3, which I warmly recommendBest DAC for Susvara
