I bet it's the one. And it's the only amp card I have left for my HM901. Don't even bother with other amp cards after I had this for a while. The only problem w/ this card is the battery life. The player only lasts about 4-5 hours w/ this card. Not a big deal since I have two batteries and external charger.

do you just use headphones with the hm901?

Right, the battery life is shorter but the card is excellent sounding.

I did some comparisons today on the NT6 between balanced card balanced cable and discrete card, and even though the balanced setup delivers amazing layered subbass, I prefer the discrete card overall in this combo, more clarity and separation to my ears.

Are you referring to the discrete card available in China from a 3rd party?
Yep, the V2, the yellow one. Really like it.

Yes, I was lucking in getting one. I didn't even know it was the best one available. Luck I guess. :^)

All a matter of taste and pairing. Recently the maker of this card recommended a mod involving removing the gain component. I did not do it, but it supposedly improves it further.

Give it a try, you'd love it. And it's very easy to sold those resistors back anyway.

Still haven't tried the mod yet to the aftermarket card, it is easy enough, but listening to the 901 and enjoying the music.

I dunno about you but if I did it to mine, it's a one way trip. I can solder off SMD easily but if I mess it up, putting it back on is a different matter.
