Rockbox has Playlists, gapless, ALAC

Far more stable firmware. plays gapless.

Two VERY good reasons. Though if Fang can do it himself, I won't care.

Has happened to me once and now again.
Major bug issue: Firmware Version 0.12
My HM-801 pretends it is charging. And the charging indicator (the bar that fills up) fills up faster than usual (the animation).
As soon as I unplug the device from it's power adapter it goes "No power!" and turns off.

With the power adapter in, the amp and DAC modules do not function properly. If I plug headphones in there is a type of pulsing white noise coming from the headphone-out. And no song noise with it; just the white noise.

I tried taking the GanQi module out and refitting it incase that was it. But it was clipped in normally. Also tried removing the battery and putting it back in.

I tried connecting the thing via USB to my computer; throwing it into USB mode. And that seemed to solve whatever problem the device was stuck on. The device started charging normally and then started functioning normally unplugged too.

HOWEVER, it has happened again. And this time USB-mode hasn't reset whatever problem occurred. Can't get sound from computer to the device from line-out. And still can't read from the memory card. White noise is there from headphone out. And it won't charge the device although the charging indicator is showing (though the indicator animation is happening super-fast).

Can't remember how I initiated this bug. I think it was from turning the device on with the power plug already in, and the Hold button was set to "locked". Though all that could have been coincidence.
The device was running normally when I last powered down. In both the last time the bug happened and this time.

I see on page 9 back there are 3 different firmware posts.

EDIT: still pretty much bricked after update. Still have the pulsing noise coming from the headphone out. I can go through the menu normally. Just no sound coming out but the pulsing white noise. And it pretends to charge but isn't charge; for it turns off if I unplug the power adapter.
