Here's the DCA 'ETHER Flow Angled Ear Pads' for my HE6SE v1. Try to figure out how to install them with the HFM rings. The ring is not a good fit using its 4 hooks. See below pic.

oops, missed that you got it... great

the 4 hooks have to stick out to catch the cup, it really has nothing to do with getting the ring inside the lip of leather. As I PM'd you flex the ring (2/3"or so of an inch) to get 1/2 to 2/3 of it in, than change your grip to hold down the part of the ring in where it fits, then finish off the rest.

Thanks, bagwell!! @ufospls2 Spent ~ 2 hrs with the new DCA 'ETHER Flow Angled Ear Pads'. Mine's v1 and v2 should be the same. I would say significant change, in better way: more 3-D like with more resonance, more natural and transparent. It is interesting how all these happened. Definite worth of trying.

Taking delivery to my Flux FA 10 tomorrow. Will deff be updating here to see if massive power makes a difference to the 6SE to my ears. Read so much about that on here - the amount of power on tap is similar to running speaker amp.

Looking forward to it but I don't really know what to expect...

Do you hear some crinkling when pressing on cups or putting headphones on?

Yes, when i pressed the pads on, heard some crinkling sound inside the can and i was afraid that the driver might be damaged... but seemed nothing happened.

It is just a planar thing. My Bee planar headphones are Much noisier. But only when adjusting, putting them on or removing them.
WAY worse than the HE6se V2's.

I've read some people had it with older versions, but nothing with LCD-X 2021 here, with stock or Dekoni leather pads.
HE6SE on the other hand, unless using fenestrated pads that do not create vacuum suction effect, crinkles pretty badly.

My HE6SE do not, fortunately. I am using the pads that they came with.

Nice. Now take off the rear screen, easily done for a session. U should notice a difference in a good way. If u have kids or cats, or feel unsafe then get a screen that has more open space such as those nice hexagon ones I have seen. I made my own but for past 3 years gone sans w/ no trouble

😀,Yes, just ordered an AC (arctic cable) grill for $19 and it's on the way. Did you mean no need to keep the HFM 'filter' or 'screen', just naked with the AC grill on?

AFA8E183-5BBA-4D50-99B0-910E89752DC3.jpegMy first wired headphone in 1 year. Quite surprised how hard it is to drive it - almost as difficult as Susv.

Comfort wise, actually I have no issue with it.

I see there are few mods avail: pads and grills. Do they improve sound or just aesthetic?
