For what I know the price on hifimanstore doesn't include taxes, because all the he6se will be shipped from China ( I've contacted them ). So in Europe it will be around 900€ the final price, at least here in italy.

You have to check the item. In the case of HE6SE it says "Available to EU" and that means it ships from inside the EU, no VAT or duties. For what I know the price on hifimanstore doesn't include taxes, because all the he6se will be shipped from China ( I've contacted them ). I contacted them on Xmas and they told me that the he-6se v2 will be shippend only from China. I don't know if things changedYou have to check the item. In the case of HE6SE it says "Available to EU" and that means it ships from inside the EU, no VAT or duties.

Things do change all the time. I bought one last week, it came yesterday. They told me it ships from the Poland warehouse, but it shipped from Germany. So I have my doubts anybody over there knows what they're sayingI contacted them on Xmas and they told me that the he-6se v2 will be shippend only from China. I don't know if things changed
Anyway, I refer to the V2.. If you meant V1, yes, it was shipping from China but it is out of stock now and has been for a few weeks.
Mine was sold "open box" but they sent me a new one. I posted about it a few pages back

I've lost interest on Hifiman policy, I don't know how they can be so inefficent... I just love my he-6se v1, bought a second pair today and will keep it forever ( with velour pads coming from an old he6 )

My v1 is my best can. Pardon me but I cannot imagine a used velour pad can give you the best sonics.I've lost interest on Hifiman policy, I don't know how they can be so inefficent... Take a read on the 4 letter site for the comparison of pads for the HE-6. I found my preferred pads with help herwae and the experts here.

Gonna use this opportunity to gush about ZMF cowhide Ori pads! The only downside is the crippling discomfort. My v1 is my best can. Pardon me but I cannot imagine a used velour pad can give you the best sonics.

Seriously though, with these pads this could be my favourite headphone I've ever owned.

tried dekoni elite velour audeze pads for the larger opening... killed the mids and highs in a bad way. took all of the air out of the sound.
hifiman $10 velours are still king for me. followed by the stock pads, which are close in sound but better in comfort to velour

the HE-6 crowd only concedes to the abyss lovers in their relentless sacrafice for the best sound regardless of comfort. if you want some comfy pillow pads get some audeze...
if you can still appreciate the good sound despite scratchy, poky, hard-as-a-rock velour sanding your cheeks down, or deal with a vice grip on your head, thats when you know its the best.

Plugged into a speaker amp with some rickety conversion cable, of course!the HE-6 crowd only concedes to the abyss lovers in their relentless sacrafice for the best sound regardless of comfort. if you want some comfy pillow pads get some audeze...

Funny how we can perceive sound differently, for me palipads kill the mids, too scooped, too distant, dekoni velour fix that and provide a bit more bass, palipads sound is too laidback.
