I'm a metal guy through and through but f*&k my stealths are slamming on this!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah Metal was my first love (well that and classic rock like Beatles, Pink Floyd, and Zepplin) but the slam I need is sated mostly by EDM , trance, and rap. Then back to metal for those riffs...

Glad to see the love for the HE-1000 is still going strong after all these years.

I actually had the OG HE-1000 before I took part in the upgrade program for HE-1000v2. Courtesy of Jeremy and the great crew at AV One, the Singapore AD.

I am still enjoying the HE-1000v2 as part of my rotation.

Without putting price into the equation and assuming that the Amps are being fed by the same DAC (be it Qutest or Ares II), which of the amps below would bring the best of the HE1000 Stealth to the table:

Violectric V222 or Schiit Lyr+.

Has anyone tested these possibilities on the HEK Stealth?

Thanks guys, some nice videos there and Katie Melua's voice sounds sublime, even with a bog standard account. We need a thread for videos like these that bring out the best of the HEKs.

If you'll pardon me for continuing the off-topic, I love this one, you can hear each voice with pin-point accuracy (and the singer on the right ...)

They both give me chills every time I listen to them. It's almost worth digging out an old pair of headphones to hear how they sound to everyone else and really appreciate the clarity and detail that the HEKs give us.
