Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone

Over the last couple days all of a sudden he1000v2 with Audio-gd R-28 NOS is way more screechy. I have had tinnitus in the past and ears are definitely sensitive especially to highs around the 4khz range.

I’m guessing ears are simply fatigued and maybe early tinnitus coming on as I’ve essentially been listening to many hours a day, and I probably just need a break. And/or ear wax buildup and need to soften/remove.

That said, is it possible headphones could have been damaged by listening to about 15 hours of pink noise tracks at very moderate levels from you tube?

I can’t wait. I’m upgrading from Ananda Stealths. The dealer I was speaking with said to me. Why not the HEKS? The vocals are even more intoxicating. Then I ordered
Very good, man. Been enjoying the hell out of mine.

How are the HE1000 Stealth paired with FiiO K9?
Was going to get the Arya Organics but ended up with the HEKS and it’s coming in a few weeks
You made a wise choice (i say that bc i made the same choice LMAO)

The HE1000 really are great headphones. That bass is phantastic, so are the mids. I love them for rock and metal.

Unfortunately i sold them and bought the HE1000 V2, which are great too. But the punch and dynamics are even better on the stealth version.
Pretty great for rap and edm, too. Metal/rap/edm are my gotos. I know Arya Organic is nice and close as well. Hifiman hit it out of the park on these two.

The engaging sound with nice bass impact is really nice.

My next step in audio will be getting a nice dac for my Violectric 280. The Chord Qutest, RME ADI 2, Schiit Bifrost are on my mind. Maybe R2R dacs like Gustard R26, Denafrips Ares 2 too.
The Bifrost is an R2R dac.

kind of. It's kind of like an r2r on a chip but there are some fundamental differences between Schiit's Multibit and a true R2R ladder DAC.

Now I really can’t wait and excited for them to arrive. Though it’s strange I live in Asia and my usual store don’t carry the stealth version and they have to order through their wholesaler (probably direct from Hifiman). They are the only authorized dealer where I am unfortunately

The whole story of He1000 Stealth is odd. Began it's life as a $2999 pair of cans. Man, it's just an exceptional value.
And K9 Pro serves up all the details these things crave. The treble is insanely good; almost Staxx-like. Bass , sub bass, all of it is great.

Just to get you even more amp'd up

Is he1000 v2 or stealth a good headphone for ambient / space ambient?

I like hd800S for ambient for its detail, resolution, soundstage but the low end is really lacking for ambient.

Stealth is great for ambient. More bass, sub bass, extension and presence and control compared to 800s. As well as having such ethereal highs. Resolution is top tier so no drop-off from 800s there. It might be even more detailed- it's a detail monster.

Slightly less soundstage but it's quite spacious compared to most headphones. Not an 800s , but, I doubt you'll feel cramped.

I'm listening to this right now as I type so it's not a bassy track, but it has some presence there and the details are insane. Plankton floating.
