I won't be selling my current Flagships, not until I do a few side by side comparisons to see if the HK-1000 can hold up in an in home environment with a tweaked out rig.
What about the "body" meaning is it more on the thin side or does it have the body of my modded HE-6?

highly recommend doing side-by-side direct comparisons! I think you will be very impressed if my own impressions were accurate.

No experience with modded HE-6, but the "body" is significantly improved over the HE-560 if that is your definition of a "thin body."

More body than the 009s? I'd like to assume yes.

As a HD 800 owner, I was thinking of maybe later upgrading to SR-007 or SR-009, but the HE-1000 with its lower price tag and not needing special amps is attracting. When can we expect the HE-1000 in Canada for demo?

I suppose I could sell my hd800, th900, and he-6 to get these. hmm...worth it?

My personal answer would be a loud NO. Why would you even consider selling 3 HPs that you know and like for something that you never even touched!? Those 3 give you choices, you can use em based on mood, music style, etc. Plus, as someone else mentioned, if one breaks you dont have to use iphone buds for 2 months while waiting for the HFM service.

OTOH, if you put the HE1000 on and your first reaction is "this is the sound of my dreams" than yes, it's worth selling all other HPs. And while you're at it, sell your car too .. you wont need it anymore, cause you'll become the new master couchpotato with headphones

Wooow seems an unreal headphone that capture the best of the orthodynamics and the electrostratic.

Does it is smooth as the SR007 or SR009 ?

I wonder if these are as hard to drive as the HE-600's?

They should be slightly easier to drive than HE-560. Same sensitivity, 50 vs 40/30 ohms. Seems like a decent headphone amp can do these, Impressive

Yup, those and the HD800's.  That's the reason I sold the 560s.
