Couple of quotes from the forum, hope this helps
I also find clarity, spaciousness, and as a consequence of these, separation a strong suit of the 3A. Certainly better in this regard than the Soloist 3XP, iFi Pro iCan or GSX-Mini.

No issues withs seperation on my end to be honest, I was surprised how well this thing handles stuff compared to my burson soloist. I felt like there was more detail and seperation while burson is mid-fi / entry high end solid state amp. The issue might be the source and you might want to try other standalone dacs.

I love how subjective this hobby is. I haven’t heard the GSX Mini, but did audition the Cayin and the soloist and liked the soloist and the iFi iCan Pro much more than the Cayin. The Cayin is as good with separation but it felt it lacked the dynamics and control especially compared to the iFi. In the end I went with iCAN Pro for its versatility and power.

I absolutely loved the Cayin with good dynamic drivers. I listened to a friend’s HD800S and that pairing was magical

This is good information, I was a little concerned with regards to the dynamics, not sure if the Cayin really has enough power for the HE1000. I having been looking at the hifi iCAN signature, seen a couple of good deals recently. also, the Icon HP8 MK2 signature, this has a bit more driving power.

I’ve absolutely loved my iFi iCAN Pro signature. It checks all of my boxes and to my ears can make any of my headphones sound just how I like them. Until I win a lottery I feel I don’t need another amp.

Pretty much my experience. 👌

Sounds like I probably won't like the new Stealth version as much, but still curious.
HE1000 V2 - any vocal-centric music (pretty much all pop) jazz, blues, classical, orchestral
HE1000 V2 Stealth - EDM, house, some instrumental (especially good with string instruments)
Arya V2 - all genre (really a case of jack of all trades, master of none) and movies

I can't say I agree about pigeonholing the stealth like that as its quite source dependent. I'd better describe it as close to an Arya Stealth that's a little brighter but a strong step up in technicalities.

I already ordered my Stealth HE1000V2 unit. I believe it will arrive in the next 10 days. It will be powered by the HA-3A and the Diablo. Eagerly waiting...

Will be keen to see how it runs on the HA-3A, been thinking about trying it with my Stealths.
I don't think I'll have power issues with the HA-3A, this amp is very efficient (one of the best purchases I've ever made in terms of audio), I haven't tested many headphones on the HA-3A, just the Maze Elite which is quieter and the LCD-4 I currently have, that one likes a lot of energy and the HA-3A handled it very well. I usually listen with the potentiometer set to the 14h average and the sound is fantastic.

The HA-3A does perfectly fine in powering the Stealth v2. Even more so than the og v2 since it's more sensitive.

On the og v2 I rarely go past 12 o'clock.
On the Stealth v2, I rarely go past 10 o'clock.
(This is through the 4.4mm that attenuates noise)
(On the FiiO m17, line out volume is at 80/120)

The only problem with the HA-3A in my experience is driving super sensitive dynamics or IEMs. On my Meze 109 Pro, the tube noise is more noticeable - even through the 4.4mm.

For me, 850mw per channel (output Power of the HA-3A, balanced, high gain) would be way too little.
I'm at the Lyr+ (when a track is mastered to 0db TPL), at 2-3 o'clock, high gain (preamp -4 - -6db).
At 30ohms, this delivers 6W(!) per channel.

As mentioned earlier, listening to jazz at moderate volume, you only need about a tenth of the power, than listening to bass-heavy music, at very high volume.
