That trend looks like what my currency's been doing until now. Except you at least still have dollars. I have crowns. Bloody crowns -_-

Could be worse - I have New Zealand Pesos. I miss being paid in US dollars.

What are u guys complaining about???? The euro went from 1,42 to an ever low 1,12 per dollar!!! In less then a year time..What! If i would buy my amp now in canada it would cost me almost a third more money (i paid in US dolars) !!! This is rediculus.... :xf_eek:

Well israel ILS compared to USD it used to be 3.5 ILS per dollar but now it's almost 4... And that's a pretty big difference. Still I'm getting the HE-1000 at least and Ragnarok unless they change the tubes on the outer shell of EF-1000

An interesting question for my dilemma (and probably for other folks) would be, is it possible to get a solid state amp, then add up a tube amp and somehow connect the two, one being for confidence of a neutral/clean signal, the other for the tube rolling part, like... could I perhaps make a solid state amp into a tube amp via chaining?

I'm not sure if I'm coming across clear on that, hoping people would understand the cool part about my question

Once you've tried + reached the perfect tube setup, it's hard to go back to solid state, even though tubes have their own cons (As in tube life)

What's "The Rag"?

Oh, thanks and wow it looks pretty big and totally heavy.

Pretty weird name but it's way better than numbering which seems to be an audio trend (he-100, hd800 etc)

Hifiman definitely could and should have thought of a better name for the he-1000, like the "sovereign" or "Optimus" etc etc? :)

It's called a tube buffer. There are several around for sale. Allows you to do tube rolling with your solid state equipment.
