What does the Alesis put into 50 ohms? On a basic straight line conversion it appears to be around 4 watts. Only slightly more than the Lyr.

OK, what's the formula to figuring this out? I thought it was half the wattage by doubling the resistance on 75 watts.

It's not only overkill Silent One, it's dangerous. The D7K is a pretty sensitive phone, you don't want the Alesis' 75 watts @ 4 ohms near that thing.

Been looking through this thread. Boy is it long. However, Has anyone played with a 4 channel B22 with X8 gain with the HE-6?
Posting since you haven't gotten a response. My Beta's set at 8x gain but is a 3-ch single-ended. I think it's pretty good with the HE6 but its signature isn't ideal for it. Together, they sound a little more distant than I prefer.
