My new amps are the Wyred 4 Sound mAMP Monoblocks, I should have them either tomorrow or Saturday. I ordered them last saturday after auditioning them with my DAC and HE-6. I read this review after and was surprised how closely it matched my listening impressions, although it's not the exact same amp. http://www.positive-feedback.com/Issue39/wyred4sound.htm

Many of us have gone with class D amps for a while now.

Class D amps do not typically produce much heat. That's sort of one of the hallmarks of class D amp in general, as designers push them to be more efficient and waste less energy.
I have found very little difference in class D amps when they are "cold" (with the exception of them literally being freezing cold after coming in off a delivery truck, in which case they sound terrible).

I can see that for amps that have a high operating temperature and where the components actually exhibit changes in behaviour... but for something that only increases by a few degrees, it wouldn't make much of a difference.
With some gear its imperative. For example your Krell KAV-400xi is sounding the best I've heard it( I've had it on or playing music the last 24 hrs).
Silent One
What silence said... then nothing.
