Sounds familiar when I go HE-500 -> Iphone
But how come a focused centerstage be a good thing then?

the centerstage focus is the mixing of both left and right channels to place images between two points. In that staging, instruments (or singers) are placed from far left to far right places across that image. They hold their positions instead of it all sounding like it's stuck in the center of your head. IMO LIke a horn holding between the left ear and the center. This is strictly a horizontal axis view, not depth or vertical.

I'd take the HE-6, 5LE, 500 & LCD-3 over the 800s. Fuller sound, more impact, richer decay, smoother treble. The well powered 6s will bring you closer to the stage presentation of the 800s. This is not an attack on the 800s though as they have a unique and very engaging listen. Acoustic instruments and vocals on the 800s are incredible. On a good amp, they have plenty of attack energy for electronic music. But I feel the orthos do a better job in the ability to do more genre with less weaknesses.

I live in Germany and a new pair is about 700 Euro (910$). I payed 500 Euro (650 $) for my used pair. They were in excellent condition and I also got one year of warranty.
But I cant tell you how much you would have to pay in the US to get a used pair.

I sold my HE-500's for $500, but I wanted a quick sale. They were sold in less than an hour.

I don't think the Hifimans will ever be on sale. The company is rather strict with their prices

I have got a question, because I am not sure about whether my listening volume is okay, and how loud I can have my headphones. With the HE-500/400 lying right next to you, how loud is the music then?
