Ugh what to do. Can get an he6 with ef6 for 1900 or a 500 for just over 500. The 500 is appealing because of its effortless ability to draw you into the music but the air, precise imaging and realism of the he6 is also very intriguing... Especially when I imagine listing to it after a few beers because that headphone is freakishly haunting the way it images (in a good way) I'm just worried lol. Great deal on something I know is amazing and don't want to miss out but I know I need to just wait it out....

that is cheap!

share the love. Though I still wouldn't do it. I would just buy another Nuforce HA-200

and go balanced.

lol... has anything interesting happened over here? god just read thro 30pgs of absolutely nothing of substance....

you guys need to make a new thread when these headphones actually get released, so people don't have to dig through 154pgs of nothing.

And for that I commend you.  Do you know how many new people on this forum make a post in a long thread and ask for a member to provide a summary for them?  I've seen it plenty of times.

With regards to the release of the newer models, I wonder if the Chinese new year had any affect?  (Again, just posing the question as I only chose to read every other page of this thread).

I'm sure there will be an HE-560 drool APPRECIATION thread soon enough, while this one will keep the hype train rollin' (Casey Jones firmly in control  until the HE-400i comes out.

Team HiFiMAN must be really, really happy with all this hype for their new products.

I'm personally excited just to see the resurrection of single-magnet planars.

Quick question. Given that the goal with the efficiency of the 400i is for impressive sound right out of an ipod or phone, would it be reasonable to assume that they would sound good from a BHC? I know that this is usually a bad match but I thought given the new efficiency of the 400i that it might be possible.
