^ Arrgh... the more I see others being satisfied with the player, the more the torture.

btw, did you have to go to the post office to get your stuff? they don't deliver that to your doorstep?

I live in the country, so we don't have a mail box or a road outside out door if you know what I mean.
So yeah we pick up all our mail from the post office.

I've been playing with the 602 as a DAC. Sound loads better than my MacBook Pro onboard sound. I'm still to load up my music onto the thing though... I might start doing that now.

How about the 262? Can you compare it with some other phones?

Well, initial impressions have been said by others, but I would like it if I hear from at least one more person

Playing around with it now. I won't comment on the sound but what I will say is it is SO MUCH lighter than I expected it to be!

That was exactly my first observation as well.

HM-602 and HM-801 share same freq curve, so there is no bass roll off at all.

When I test the DAC function of 602(Using the line out of 602 to my home theater with big subwoofer), I found bass roll off at low frequency with 602's line out.

My cheap creative USB sound blaster live sound card does not have bass roll off with this same setup.

Does anyone notice that?

especially when people who satisfied with the player dont complain about the price they paid ?  for myself i consider a small price to pay for having my time filled with beautiful music instead of noisy laptop fan buzz.... improving my productivity and cheap replacement of anger management program......... for longer life LOL

yeah, if you live like wollongong or blue mountain etc in Australia country side... population density is not high ~ delivery is bit slow

I remember seeing it somewhere but I can't remember where. How's the transfer speed with the internal memory?

Try to turn on disc cache in Windows for HM-602 internal memory. I am not sure if this will help, but this works with flash drives.
